12 Things to ALWAYS Pack for Bonnaroo

1. Tapestries/Flags

Tapestries and flags are a great way to decorate and identify your camp. They allow for shade and some privacy when the sun is out, also.

2. Table

A small table is a cute and very essential item for your camp. It not only adds decoration, but also provides an area to eat, play cards, and do other important things. Bring a cute table cloth to add to the décor!

3. SUN BLOCK

This one is obviously, but a lot of people forget the obvious sometimes! You will be outside in the sun ALL. DAY. There are not a lot of shaded areas in Centeroo, and while you are having fun raving, the sun is going to WORK. You don’t want to be miserable the entire weekend. Trust me, the potential tan is not worth it.

4. Socks

If you bring any shoes that need socks, bring extra socks! You will be sweating in your shoes all day and will want to freshen up any way you can when you get back to camp. I made the mistake of only bringing one pair of socks and it was inconvenient to say the least.

5. Tissues/Wet wipes

Two words. PORTA POTTY. There are a few nicer bathrooms inside Centeroo, but usually porta potties are what you will be using. Especially toward the end of the day/weekend, you are going to want to make sure you have toilet paper.

6. Baby Powder

Baby Powder is a MUST! It is great for unwanted chub rub and keeps everything dry and comfortable. I also use it for my hair when it gets oily. Since showers are crazy expensive and a very inconvenient distance from camp (usually), baby power will be your BFF when you want your hair to look fresh and clean.

7. Jacket

A jacket is something people do not think they will need in the middle of June, but trust me, it is necessary. The nights can get chilly on the farm and at that moment only wearing body paint and a thong was not such a great idea. Also remember you will be sleeping in a tent outside. I made the mistake of only bringing a very light jacket and light blanket and I SHIVERED at night.

8. Backpack/Fanny Pack

A backpack or fanny is SOOO important for Roo. It may not seem like it, but there are a lot of items you will want to have with you during the day, especially if you are parked far away. I like to carry items like chap stick, sunblock, tissues, and hand sanitizer in my bag.

9. Fun clothes

Fun clothes are a must. There are so many people with so many cool outfits (or lack of outfits) Even if you think you look ridiculous, everyone will truly think it is awesome. For the first day last year, I made all of my friends matching tie dye clothes, and it was so cute! Everyone commented on them, and a nice girl even gave us cute, little plastic metals.

10. Portable Shower

I did not buy one of these yet, but I will have one for Bonnaroo 2018 because showers are expensive and inconvenient. With a portable shower you can shower right on your camp site for free! They are on amazon for under $30 and can be reused for the following years.

11. Reusable Water Bottle

Bonnaroo is hot and you WILL sweat! To avoid dehydration and to save a fortune on water bottles, bring a reusable water bottle to refill the whole weekend. There are multiple water refill stations located all over Centeroo.

12. POSITIVE VIBES

Last, but most certainly not least, bring POSITIVE VIBES. Roo is an experience that is honestly like no other. If this is your first time, there will most likely be some interesting things you have never seen, and at Roo it is very normally. Every person wants a friendly, judgmental experience and if you put positive vibes into the farm, the farm will show you how magical it really is!
