How to Make your First Airbnb Experience Safe and Affordable!
Last weekend, I had my first Airbnb experience, ever! I was always very reluctant to use Airbnb because it seemed like the experience could be fantastic or VERY sketchy. Even though I was reluctant, my friend and I decided to reserve a studio apartment in downtown Toronto because hotels were very expensive.

We stayed with Logan, a "superhost", and our experience was wonderful. The apartment was decorated very cute and looked exactly like the photos. It was clean and located in a safe neighborhood on the outskirts of Toronto. Logan even had complementary water, milk, and juice in the fridge.
Our experience with Airbnb was fantastic and I think it is because Airbnb works extremely hard to make sure their host are legitimate. Their host are required to go through an extensive process that include: providing personal information, social security number, and a background check. The host also receives public reviews and Airbnb asks the guests to confirm certain aspects regarding the stay. Some of these conformations include: location, cleanliness, and check-in options.
To ensure your next stay is as great as mine, there are a few things to remember. Always read the reviews! Reviews usually tell a story about the location. Some time there are bitter people who have bad intentions with reviews, but, in general, people will write them to convey a message their actual feelings.

Next, being a “superhost” means a lot in the Airbnb world. Airbnb hold their hosts to a high standard, so this title means a lot. Being a “superhost” essentially means these hosts have hosted a large number of people with little to no issues.
Lastly, waiting may help you save money. When we went on our trip, we were hesitant to book a room because we wanted a better deal and a better deal fell in our laps, essentially. If you wait and no one books the locations in which you are interested in staying, those prices could lower or a less expensive location could be cancelled and available to you.
While we are on the topic of saving money, make sure you use my link to save up to $55 with Airbnb on your first stay! My offer can be found here! This includes $40 dollars off on your first stay and $15 off on an Airbnb experience!
If you follow these suggestions and have an open mind, your first Airbnb experience can be fun and affordable!
