The Perfect Itinerary for a Weekend in Toronto, Canada

My best friend and I are going to Toronto next weekend! This is my first time ever in Canada and I am SO excited. Since Toronto is Canada’s New York City, we decided it was in our best interest to make a loose itinerary, so we don’t miss out on any of the fun! I have included our plans below and some important information regarding these plans so you can have some fun in Toronto, too!

We will be arriving in Toronto at Noon and heading to Eaton Centre, a ginormous shopping mall in the city. Friends from Canada say this is the place to go if you really want a piece of Toronto. After some shopping time, we are going to our reservation at the Amsterdam Brewery, located at 245 Queens Quay West Toronto, ON M5J 2K9. This place even offers FREE brewery tours! I would arrive early on the weekends, though, as I heard this place can get very busy!

In the evening, we are going to check out Dundas Square, the Times Square of Toronto. After all, they don’t call Toronto the New York City of Canada for no reason! After some time in the heart of the city, Roger Center is our next stop. This area is where the CN Tower is located. The CN tower is the world's third-tallest freestanding tower and arguably the most popular tourist attraction in Toronto. After doing some very touristy things, we want to visit The Rec Room, an arcade and night Club.

The next day, we are going to visit one of the beaches on Lake Ontario. We are deciding between Woodbine Beach and Sugar Beach which is located east of the Entertainment District near Lower Jarvis Street and Queens Quay. After some time in the sun, we are heading to High Park Zoo, a zoo that offers FREE entrance. Although it is small, I hear it is still a cute way to spend the afternoon. After a day spent in the sun, we want to eat at a restaurant called The Dime, where every meal is $5.95. This establishment is located at 538 Queen Street West, Toronto, ON and is open from 11AM-2AM.

During “golden hour”, we want to visit Graffiti Alley, a back-alley between Spadina and Portland Street. From pictures, this looks like the perfect place to have a photoshoot for my Instagram. Follow me @tradethetypical to follow us on our journey! After golden hour, we plan to go out on the town and see what Toronto nightlife is all about! We were told to visit One Loft, a night club open until 4AM with free cover until 11PM.

On our last day, we are visiting Tilt Arcade Bar. This is something I am extremely excited about because you pay $5 to enter and all games are set to free play. I cannot wait to get a beer (or White Claw) and play some Pacman. To keep the excitement going, we plan on doing the Rage Room. This attraction cost $19 and offers guests 45 minutes to let out aggression and break 10 glass items and 1 small electronic. This concept super cool and we decided this was a must!

To end our trip to Canada, we plan to visit Niagara Falls on the way back to the USA. Niagara Falls is one of the most well know parts of Canada and obviously something I NEED to see in all of its glory! In my opinion, our plans are preparing us for the perfect weekend in Canada! Make sure you check back to see my review on all of these places.
